The goals of the Accident Prevention Book are to:

1. decrease the total number of accidental injuries in children age 0-18 by providing simple tips for prevention to increase parental and public awareness of injury risk 
2. change attitudes from accident to preventable injury

These goals are met by providing the reader with a 175-page black and white book covering a variety of accident scenes organized by location and associating a real parent or celebrity to each incident, thereby allowing for a stronger empathetic reaction by placing the reader in the presented individuals "shoes."

The book will present approximately 50 different accident scenes and each scene will include a narrative of the accident, an expert dialogue box and a parent dialogue box along with a pictorial presentation of the accident and prevention suggestions.
