Childrens Center for Cancer & Blood Diseases

Physicians at the Childrens Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases (CCCBD) have led the way in advancing cancer care for infants, children, and adolescents.  The CCCBD has a comprehensive clinical and research program that is the largest of its kind in the western United States and Childrens Hospital’s faculty is nationally recognized in their areas of expertise.  Further, Center physicians have led the way in research regarding the psychosocial aspects of childhood cancer.

Clinical programs are aimed at providing state-of-the-art diagnosis, treatment, and psychosocial care, as well as long-term management of children with cancer or blood diseases.  The CCCBD is one of the few centers in the country capable of piloting new and innovative treatment programs for children with previously resistant cancers and blood disorders.  The Center has an onsite Blood Donor Center  that provides all blood components, advanced diagnostic laboratories, and state of-the-art imaging facilities that include magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and nuclear medicine.
