Comprehensive Medical Evaluations

The Audrey Hepburn CARES Team provides comprehensive medical evaluations:

• Performed by a court-qualified physician expert in all areas of child abuse.
• Consultative services provided to all departments in the hospital.
• Expertise in assessing children with special healthcare needs
• Team includes social workers with extensive experience in assessment and intervention.
• Comprehensive forensic medical evaluation, including colposcopic examinations.
• Child-friendly environment minimizes additional trauma during assessment and treatment.
• Collaborative efforts with law enforcement, Department of Children & Family Services, and courts.
• Direct referrals to Project Heal and/or other appropriate services outside the hospital.
