The Surgical Team

Listed below are the fifteen members of the surgical team that separated conjoined twins, Regina and Renata Fierros.

James E. Stein, M.D., FACS, FAAP headed the surgical team.  He was joined by Childrens Hospital Drs. Cathy Shin and Donald B. Shaul.

Dominic Femino, M.D. led the orthopaedic team.  He was joined by Drs. David Skaggs, Jennifer Weiss, and Paul Choi. 

John Gross, M.D., FACS led the plastic surgery team.  He was joined by Drs. Mark Urata, Jeff Lagrasso, and Max Lehfeldt. 

William McIlvaine, M.D., C.M., FRCPC, FAAP led the anesthesia team.  He was joined by Drs. Janice ("Jae") Townsend, Anthony Romo, and Patrick Ross.
