Community Impact

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is the regional referral center for children in need of specialty and subspecialty care throughout Los Angeles and its seven surrounding counties. We perform more surgeries on children than any other hospital in Southern California. Many of our physicians are the only childhood disease experts in their specialty on the west coast.

Here at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, new cures, treatments, preventions, and diagnostic techniques are revolutionizing medicine. Emerging knowledge about the powerful role of families in their childrens' recovery and health is reshaping the way hospital care is provided.

To implement this new knowledge, now, when children need our care, requires our hospital actively attracting and supporting the men and women at the forefront of medicine, maximizing the use of cutting-edge technology, and developing programs that support families in their role as caregivers.
