Technology Highlights

Technology transfer is the process of transferring discoveries, technologies, knowledge, biological and other materials created in an academic or hospital setting to the public for the benefit of society.

The hospital's research programs enjoy funding by top national and regional funding agencies (NIH, NCI, CIRM), foundations, private donors and industry. Our research has led to a number of breakthroughs ranging from novel therapeutic approaches to diagnostic kits, research tools and medical devices.

We are committed to translating these early stage discoveries and innovations into products and services for public use, by partnering with industry as well as other academic institutions.

Mission

The mission of the Office of Technology Transfer is to bring technologies developed at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles into public use for society’s benefit while protecting its faculty’s academic freedoms, generating financial return for the hospital, its faculty members and future research and education at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.
