Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has dedicated its internationally-known Research Institute The Saban Research Institute of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, and its new 88,500 square-foot state-of-the-art research laboratory facilities The Saban Research Institute building, in recognition of Cheryl and Haim Saban’s "…commitment to the children and families of Los Angeles and children everywhere."

Through the Saban Family Foundation, Cheryl and Haim Saban contributed $40 million to support pediatric medical research at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles - a contribution that is expected to advance the search for solutions to some of the most complex and vexing medical issues affecting children and adolescents.

"The children you see in the hospital hallways are our future," Mrs. Saban says. "They are so innocent and vulnerable and have every reason to think that we can cure them. The ideas our scientists are working on today will help find these cures and hopefully answer so many prayers."

The Saban commitment was the lead gift in Living Proof:  the Campaign for Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.  It is thought to be the largest single gift of its kind to a children’s hospital in North America.
