Update Family & Friends

For friends and relatives who aren't able to visit your child while they are in the hospital, we provide a free service that allows you to keep the people you care about updated on your child's condition.

CarePages
To set up your own page for your child, and begin sharing updates with family and friends today:

1. Navigate to the CarePages website.
2. On the Home Page, look for the Button labelled "Create” on the top right
3. Follow the instructions provided for you to register on the site and create your child's CarePage (be sure to indicate that your child is receiving care at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles to access our free service).

Several other free services exist on the web that you may also use at your discretion. 

CaringBridge Hosted by a nonprofit organization.  Your child’s information can remain secure, and visible only to those you permit.  After navigating to the CaringBridge site, click the button on the left labeled “Start Here.”	FaceBook Friends and relatives must join Facebook to see the information you post.  You may select which "friends" you allow to see your facebook page.  To set up an account, navigate to the FaceBook site, and click the button labeled “Sign Up.”	Yahoo Groups Yahoo Groups allow you to have your own group email address, message board, calendar, and photo albums.  Information on starting a Yahoo group is available online.

Enjoy the communities that you create to support you and your child.  Be sure to share the address of our website (www.ChildrensHospitalLA.org) with your friends and familiy so that others can see where where your child is receiving care.
