Hospital Accreditation

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles is fully accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC).  The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit organization that sets the standard by which healthcare quality is measured in America and around the world. TJC currently evaluates the quality and safety of care for more than 15,000 healthcare organizations.

To maintain and earn accreditation, healthcare organizations, like Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, must have an extensive on-site review by a team of TJC healthcare professionals once every three years, at minimum, to evaluate the organization's performance in areas that affect your care. TJC  accreditation may be awarded, or not, based on how well the organizations has met the Commission's standards.
