Accreditation
All hospitals must undergo regular onsite reviews to maintain accreditation status with The Joint Commission.  Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has consistently received the highest possible scores during accreditation reviews. 

Hospital Wins Quality Award for Excellence in Patient Safety
In 2006, Childrens Hospital received a prestigious quality award from The Leapfrog Group, an organization founded to bring about innovations in healthcare, and to provide greater access for all Americans.    

Consumer Health Awards
Childrens Hospital Los Angeles received two Consumer Health World Awards for implementing technology to provide enhanced patient care services.  The hospital received first prize for implementing an electronic medical records system that significantly decreased medical errors.  The hospital also received second prize for efforts to improve the quality of pediatric trauma and critical care through accessing county trauma records to plan and prepare for its annual critical care conference.
