Q. I attended an event.  Can I deduct the cost of my ticket?
A. You may only deduct anything above the fair market value of your ticket.  For example, if you paid $50 to attend an event, and in return you received $25 in fair market value goods (food, beverages, gift bag, etc.), then you may deduct the remaining balance.  As always, please be sure to contact a certified tax professional for more information.

Q. I donated an item to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Is it tax-deductible?
A. It is possible that items donated to Childrens Hospital Los Angeles are tax-deductible. We advise you to contact a certified tax professional for more information.

Q. What are the steps to doing an event for the hospital?

Q. What are the hospital's policies regarding doing an event?

Q. Can I advertise my event at the hospital?
A. Advertising of events from our community partners is possible, on a case by case basis. 

Q. Can I come sell things in the lobby and give a percentage of the proceeds back to the hospital?
A. Unfortunately, we cannot allow any sales onsite at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

Q. Do you have any collateral materials I can hand out at my event?
A. Based on availability, the hospital may be able to provide a small quantity of materials for you to distribute. Please contact Special Events to discuss your event.

Q. Can I use the logo?
A. The Childrens Hospital Los Angeles logo may only be use by permission and, if permission is granted, may not be altered in any way. Please contact the Special Events department for more information.

Q. Can I volunteer at events?
A. We are always interested in adding new volunteers to assist with our events slate.  Please visit the volunteer page for more information.

Q. I would like to donate my services to your events, how can I do that?
A. If you are able to give your time by providing services to help with our events, such as graphic design, printing, photography or other services, please contact the Special Events department.
