Research
Sally Rogers has been conducting important research into developmental disorders in children. She joins us at the Saban Research Institute as a distinguished speaker largely for her research on autism spectrum disorders. A speaker who often draws a diverse audience of scientists, social workers, parents as well as patients to her lectures, Dr. Rogers provides analyses of current diagnostic procedures used with young children, while she examines the potential efficacy of early intervention in creating positive outcomes for autistic children.

At the Saban Research Institute, we are investigating every stage of autism spectrum and other developmental disorders. Rich Simerly, PhD, Director of our Neuroscience Program conducts fundamental inquiries into the structure and function of the brain at its most basic level. The CHLA-USC Institute of the Developing Mind takes a comprehensive approach to studying all the aspects of pediatric neurological dyfunction. And we are moving research into the clinic with the opening of the Boone Fetter Clinic, where small groups of patients benefit from a multi-diciplinary approach to diagnosis and eventually treatment. Currently, Michele Kipke, PhD from the Saban Research Institute is directing this effort.
